Continuo & Consort Musician

Harpsichord, Continuo:

Starting in the fall of 2017 I began studying and performing basso continuo as a harpsichordist under the instruction of of Phebe Craig, harpsichord instructor and lecturer in music at UC Davis. I have performed in baroque orchestral settings, chamber groups such as trio sonatas, duos, and solo works for harpsichord. These performances required reading and realizing figured bass as well as obbligato harpsichord parts. I also have experience playing basso continuo on chamber organs.

Viola da Gamba, Continuo & Consort:

Starting in the summer of 2018 I began studying viola da gamba with Melita Denny at UC Davis. I currently play tenor and 7-string bass viol in renaissance consorts, baroque basso continuo, duos for two viols both tenor and bass, and solo repertoire. I am a member of both Pacifica Viols and the VDGSA, attending the Pacifica workshop in 2018, and Conclave in 2019.

Performer for Hire:

In a normal year I would be available for hire as a continuo musician, however due to COVID-19 I am unavailable for in-person performance. I am enthusiastic to engage in virtual projects and I leave the door open to discussions about future projects. Please contact me with any questions or comments!
